90 minute tour + coffee/tea or free snacks with your drinks
Discover the hidden gems of Gouda with our exclusive secret spot tour. Wander through charming backstreets, where history and culture come alive.
Of course, we will pass by the highlights;
The market square - yess in summer we have the famous though touristy cheese market here -, The "WAAG" (weighing house), various churches and cathedrals, canals and the maritime museum harbour.
But mostly, we will focus on the places you usually don't get to see when following a "regular" tour guide.
The tour ends in a special venue: La Cantina Gouda. Enjoy a complementary cup of coffee or tea while we have fun reviewing our photos. Did you book the afternoon tour? Enjoy a glass of wine or beer; the snacks are on us!
ABOUT CANTINA VAN JONGKIND:
The Hofje van Jongkind (courtyard with charitable housing) or the Adriaan Jongkind Foundation, is a former almshouse founded in 1702 on the Zeugstraat.
The 9 tiny houses were intended to provide accommodation for poor and elderly widows without children, or for elderly unmarried women, who lived in Gouda and belonged to the Dutch reformed church.
Although it is now a restaurant, the "hofje" houses are still visible to the public and one of the houses is in use as a private dining or conference room.
